our dog house

We recently moved and our new house didnt have a fence in the back yard which meant that our dog maduce which if you dont know is a english mastiff he is a year old and weighs a 100 lb and today he jumped up on me and his paws touched the top of my head so he is huge duce as been staying with my mom since we moved my mom very loving let us know that we could leave anything behind when we moved out anything a grandkid but the dog had a enviction date lol so duce nedded a dog house and we wanted a good sturdy one and as we did reseached one big enough for duce was alot of money so scott made hos own blue print and set to work on building it it took him 2 hole days and had his little helper there every step even when scott didnt want him there lol im very proud of my handy man!

We let the kids buy each other presents and when maycee found what bubba had wraped her she carried it around all day never asking to open it up just so happy for her suprise

to finish up our count down we we made snowflakes and supried gigi at work with flowers and homemade cookies and made a nativity sceane which all which i slacked and didnt get any pictures of now we are headed to grandma suzanne house to start our christmas celebration it was really fun to count down and it brought the christmas spirit into our home.....

my thoughts

my wonderful mother n law who has been very supportive of me and has really try ed to be understanding and loving the last almost 3yrs said that we must be having a magical Christmas this year and it got me thinking why this year its different i thought some of it is my kids are getting how special Christmas time is. AS i thought i thought more how really the last 2 years i have just been going Thur the motins of Christmas. losing my dad and my grandpa in with in 7 months of each other and my family here on earth change drastically very quickly it really Thur me for a loop and Christmas would remind me of how different and how much i missed them, but in the last few months i realized that my dad and grandpa may not be here on earth but they are not gone the lesson he taught me the tradition he gave me are still with me they did not leave when he died. Its now my job to do what ever i can to do what is right and teach my kids what is right so i can be with him heaven again. My parents made Christmas special no matter how much money we didn't have it was always magical and that my dad was just has big of a kids during Christmas as we were. so Ive decide that this year i will be a kid too and make it a magical Christmas with love and traditions that my parents gave me.

ON saturday i knew it would be a crazy day bc we had a wrestling tournment and a cousin christmas party so we just rented a christmas movie we watch polar express max loves that movie and both kids just layed and watched it after a long bussy day it was nice.

then on sunday we made christmas craylons that was so much fun
and then on monday it was to do teacher gifts so now i think im all caught up

Friday we went to a local bible college and look at christmas lights you can either drive thru or get out and walk around there are thousands and thousands of lights and its all free my kids loved it they where walking ahead of us and max would walk with his arm around maycee leading her it was way cute but of course everytime i tryed to get a pic of it one or both would turn around oh well it was really sweet !

we made ginger bread men cookies
the kids decorated 2 of them and then they were done oh well it was fun and we are making memories thats all that counts!

day 20 and 19

ok, confession i might be just or more excited then the kids about the advent calander so im going to post about it everyday so forgive me

my kids are really into sending care package ever since they saw this thing on the dsney chanell about this little girl sending a care package to some one she loved and that i used to send care packages to daddy while he was in the army and max wanted to make sure that it came in on a helicopter bc thats how daddy got his, when sent one to grandma
a while back so for day 20 we sent a another care package it was alot of fun and im not saying who we sent it to bc that person reads this blog lol

on day 19 we made nativity ornments and we had to do something nice for someone in the family

day 22 and 21

day 21 they got candy for there count down bc we had wrestling tournment and just a busy saturday day 20 we wrote letters to santa clause! here are some pics of writing to santa it was alot of fun and santa might just write back!

so since im a bit of a craft blog stalker i saw alot of ideas for advent calanders so i thought i try to make one my self it was nothing fancy but here it is i took red paper sacks and number 1 thru 25 and then i filled them with activities to do that day or special treat so here is what we did the 1st two days
day 25 we went shoping for our angle tree kids we had so much fun my kids where so excited to pick out things for the kids and wanted to get them everything and maycee wanted to so badly take the gifts to the little girl right then and max said hevenly father and santa clause are going to be happy

day 24 they got santa clause pezz candy !

We put the tree up this week it was alot of fun both kids really got into it and loved doing it my faviorte part was how all the ornments where clumped together at the bottom because of short people helping out we had to spreed them out after they went to bed they where so proud and wanted to know where each ornment came from i love how we are starting to make our own traditons this year.
